Underground Ferrosilid Grounding Anodes МG

Underground Anodes МG are installed in low-conductivity surface soil layers, as well as in the areas of overall site construction and limited land allocation for anodic field. МG is a ready-to-use unit packaged construction. Grounding Anode Unit consists of two sections, each having two ferrosilid anodes connected with a connecting cable. Current is supplied through the general connecting cable. Unit sections are connected via a loop connection. The unit is delivered in the form of connected sections. When assembled, the sections are put in one line. Two connecting cables are released at the well month from the unit on the daylight surface. Functionally, the units are connected in a chain (garland) to increase current load and to reduce transition resistance. Maximum number of Grounding Anode Units per one well is 4. The gases released by the operating grounding anodes are removed through a gas outlet tube placed to the daylight surface together with the mains cables. A gas outlet tube is perforated along the length of the chain and is supplied upon request as one tube per one anode chain (garland) mounted in one well. Length of gas outlet tube matches the depth of a drilled well. Near anode area should be filled with carbonaceous backfill to reduce the resistance to current spreading from anodic grounding anodes and to decrease operating grounding anode dissolution rate. The design of the anodic grounding system assembled from the grounding anodes МG (number of units in a well, number of wells, distance between them) should be based on the cathodic protection project with regard to soil resistance, local conditions and technical economic indicators.
